# HER™ — The Rise Project™
## Mentor Manual

## Programme Overview

HER™ — The Rise Project is an 8-week structured journey for women who are rebuilding, rediscovering, or quietly redefining themselves. The programme is built for women who may have experienced: life transitions, educational barriers, relationship challenges, caregiving responsibilities, neurodivergence (ADHD, autism traits), or a sense of disconnection from their own identity.

**This is not a healing programme.** It does not position women as broken or in need of fixing. It is a framework for clarity, structure, and intentional growth.

**Purpose:** Give women a structured path back to themselves — not back to who they were before, but forward to who they're becoming.

**Tagline:** Rise. Rebuild. Become.
**Duration:** 8 weeks
**Delivery:** Digital workbooks + check-in system + mentor dashboard

## Language Rules

The following language is **not used** in HER programme materials, marketing, or mentor communications:
- Empowerment (use "clarity", "direction", "building")
- Girl boss / queen / boss babe
- Hustle culture framing
- Pink branding or self-help clichés
- "Women are stronger than..." comparisons

The following framing is **never used**:
- Women as victims, broken, or needing to be fixed
- Programme as treatment for trauma
- Promise of specific outcomes (career, relationship, health guarantees)

## The 8-Week Structure

| Week | Title | Stage | Focus |
|------|-------|-------|-------|
| 1 | HER Story | Awareness | Who you are now — not who you were |
| 2 | HER System | Awareness | How you work — patterns, rhythms, energy |
| 3 | HER Patterns | Foundation | Identifying what holds you back |
| 4 | HER Foundation | Foundation | Building the baseline — identity, values |
| 5 | HER Reflection | Growth | Looking at relationships, environments, connections |
| 6 | HER Growth | Growth | Building forward — skills, direction, voice |
| 7 | HER Influence | Rise | How you show up for others, your community |
| 8 | HER Rise | Rise | The path ahead — vision, next steps, declaration |

### Progression Stages

The participant progresses through five stages, not just weeks:
- **Awareness:** Weeks 1–2. Where am I right now?
- **Foundation:** Weeks 3–4. What am I building on?
- **Growth:** Weeks 5–6. Where am I going?
- **Rise:** Weeks 7–8. Who am I becoming?
- **Shine:** Achieved after Week 8. Status marker for completion.

---

## Archetype System

After Week 8 completion, the system calculates the participant's archetype profile from all 8 weekly check-ins. Each week includes archetype questions with 8 possible answers.

### The 8 Rise Archetypes

| Archetype | Code | Description |
|-----------|------|-------------|
| The Builder | B | Creates structure, stability, and systems. Action-oriented, methodical. |
| The Creator | C | Generates ideas, expression, and new ways of seeing. Creative and unconventional. |
| The Guide | G | Supports and develops others. Nurturing, perceptive, community-oriented. |
| The Strategist | S | Plans, analyses, and optimizes. Sharp, logical, long-game thinker. |
| The Anchor | A | Holds things together. Steady, reliable, deep emotional intelligence. |
| The Explorer | E | Seeks new experiences, knowledge, and horizons. Curious, adaptable, open. |
| The Leader | L | Takes charge, makes decisions, drives forward. Clear vision, high accountability. |
| The Visionary | V | Sees possibilities, sets direction, inspires. Big-picture, futures-oriented. |

**Primary archetype:** Most frequent answer across 8 weeks.
**Secondary archetype:** Second most frequent answer.

The archetype profile is disclosed to the participant in their completion email. Mentor can view it in the participant detail panel.

## User Journey

### Registration
1. User registers at `/her` — provides name, email, age band, referral source, and optional mentor selection
2. Temporary password sent via email
3. User lands at `/her-console` — sees their stage, unlocked workbooks
4. Current week workbook available; previous weeks locked

### Weekly Check-In
1. User completes the week's workbook (self-directed)
2. User submits check-in for current week via `/her-console`
3. Check-in includes: 8 archetype questions (one per archetype), reflection note (free text), next step selection (Ready / More Time / Support Requested)
4. On submit: next week's workbook unlocks, mentor dashboard updates, email sent

### Female Physiology Considerations
Content in the HER programme acknowledges the following as **educational context only, not medical advice**:
- Menstrual cycle awareness and energy fluctuations across the month
- Hormonal transitions (perimenopause, menopause)
- Stress response differences in women
- Sleep, nutrition, and exercise patterns that interact with hormonal cycles

No programme content claims to treat, cure, or diagnose any medical condition. Where relevant, participants are directed to consult qualified healthcare professionals.

### Certificate
After all 8 weeks complete:
- Status changes to ACHIEVED (displayed as Shine stage)
- Completion email sent with archetype profile
- Certificate available in the participant console

---

## Mentor Role

### What Mentors DO
- Monitor participant progress via the `/her-mentor` dashboard
- Review weekly check-in notes and archetype answers
- Add mentor notes to individual check-ins
- Identify participants who request support (`SUPPORT_REQUESTED`)
- Provide structured encouragement — specific, not generic
- Maintain awareness of female physiology context (not clinical expertise)

### What Mentors DO NOT Do
- Do not provide medical, therapeutic, or legal advice
- Do not position yourself as a therapist or counsellor
- Do not share participant data with third parties
- Do not pressure participants — voluntary engagement is essential
- Do not use programme contact for non-programme purposes
- Do not assume every participant has the same background, needs, or capacity

### Mentor Dashboard Guide

The dashboard (`/her-mentor`) shows:
1. **All Participants** table — sortable by stage, support flag, last active
2. **Filter tabs:** All / Active / Support Requested ⚠️ / Completed
3. **Participant detail view:**
   - Current stage and progress percentage
   - Archetype answers (primary/secondary — calculated at Week 8)
   - Growth Edge (from Week 8 reflection note)
   - Full check-in history with your notes
   - Add/edit mentor notes per check-in

### Responding to Support Requests
When a participant selects `SUPPORT_REQUESTED`:
1. Review their reflection note and archetype pattern
2. Add a mentor note with specific, actionable support options
3. Do not promise outcomes — offer what you can genuinely provide
4. Escalate to the programme coordinator if the situation involves safeguarding concerns

---

## Rules and Regulations

1. **Participant eligibility:** Women aged 18+. No prerequisites. Referral through prison, probation, community organisation, family/friend, or self-referral.
2. **Programme progression:** Weeks must be completed in order. Week 1 must be completed before Week 2 becomes available, etc.
3. **No skipping weeks:** The sequential structure is intentional. `MORE_TIME` selections are normal and expected — do not penalise participants for taking longer.
4. **Duplicate check-ins:** Submitting the same week twice returns a 409 conflict. No duplicates allowed.
5. **Archetype privacy:** Archetype results are calculated server-side. The participant receives their profile at Week 8. Mentor can see it throughout — do not disclose prematurely.
6. **Female physiology:** Mentors are not required to be medical experts. Acknowledge the context without providing clinical guidance.
7. **Safeguarding:** If a participant discloses something that raises safeguarding concerns (self-harm, abuse, risk to others), report to the programme coordinator immediately. Do not attempt to handle alone.
8. **Data retention:** Participant data retained for programme duration plus 12 months. Contact programme coordinator for deletion requests.
9. **No replacement of professional support:** The programme is a personal development framework. It does not replace therapy, medical care, legal advice, or social work.

## Proposed Outcomes

By the end of Week 8, a participant will have:
- Completed a structured self-assessment across 8 dimensions
- Identified their primary and secondary Rise archetype
- Documented their Growth Edge — a specific strength to lean into
- Reflected on relationships, environments, and patterns
- Prepared a forward-looking vision statement
- Received a certificate of completion

**Realistic expectations:**
- Not all participants will complete all 8 weeks — this is expected and acceptable
- Progress is not linear; setbacks are part of the process
- A participant who completes 4–5 weeks with genuine reflection has meaningfully grown
- Completion rate alone does not measure programme success

## Programme Coordinator Notes

- The `HER_MENTOR_EMAILS` env var (falls back to `HIM_MENTOR_EMAILS`) controls mentor dashboard access. Multiple mentors separated by commas.
- The `mentor_id` column on `her_participants` tracks mentor assignment. Assignable at registration or via admin panel.
- HER uses a parallel table structure to HIM: `her_participants`, `her_progress`, `her_checkins`.
- Email sending uses the Polsia proxy — confirm `POLSIA_API_KEY` is set for email delivery.
- The `/api/her/reset-password` endpoint sends a new temporary password via email — no clickable link, just a password.
- Archetype calculation uses 8 possible answers per week (B, C, G, S, A, E, L, V) — different from HIM's 4 (A, B, C, D).
- The `reflection_note` column on `her_checkins` mirrors `operator_note` in the HIM programme — same field name, different label for programme language consistency.
